Incentive Travel Exchange 10th Anniversary Event Kicks Off in Vegas  

NEW YORK (March 19, 2015) ─ Questex Travel Group’s 10th anniversary Incentive Travel Exchange (ITE) event kicked off on a high note this week with a record number of attendees, robust educational program and dynamic keynote speaker. 

The celebratory event, being held today through Friday at the Delano Las Vegas at Mandalay Bay, brings together high-volume incentive buyers based in North America and sought-after global travel suppliers including hotels, resorts, spas, cruise lines, tour operators and destination management companies.

The sold out 2015 ITE program achieved record attendance, according to Danielle Cirami-Gillis, Questex vice president of events sales.

Michael Dominguez, senior vice president of hotel sales for MGM Resorts International, captured the audience with a dynamic keynote address on the record demand in the hospitality industry and a look at what this means for the near future. Dominguez provides oversight for MGM Resorts International hotel sales in Las Vegas and other global destinations. He is responsible for leisure and group sales, including 42,000 hotel rooms.

Questex, in partnership with the Society for Incentive Travel Excellence (SITE), offered an insightful education session, “Managing the Incentive Travel Experience: Planning and Logistics,” led by Ann Gravette, a 23-year industry veteran who is director, quality excellence, learning & development, for Maritz Travel in Missouri. Attendees learned to plan an incentive travel program, from definition through final evaluation, while identifying the key logistical details involved in managing an incentive travel program including change and risk management, as well as the nuances of working with international incentive programs.
