Dr. Vidyashankar S.

Bio:

Dr. Vidyashankar is the Vice Chancellor of Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, a leading University in Asia and the only Technological University in the State of Karnataka, taken charge of the position in September 2022. Dr. Vidyashankar started his teaching career in 1991 as Lecturer in Bangalore Institute of Technology, Bangalore, one of the leading engineering colleges in Karnataka. He served the college in various capacities as Senior Grade Lecturer, Assistant Professor, Professor, Dean and PG Coordinator. He has the Teaching experience of 28 years, Research experience of about 15 years and till date six scholars have been awarded with Ph.D. degree under his guidance. He has a number of National and International Patents to his credit.
