Shivakumar Mathapathi

Bio:

Shivakumar Mathapathi, Co-founder of Xtrans Solutions spearheads the establishment of the Center of Excellence in IoT, machine learning, and, more recently, generative AI, enhancing higher education. He serves as an Adjunct Faculty at Northeastern University, UC San Diego-Extension, and Ohlone College, leveraging nearly 25 years of industry experience to deliver instruction that bridges theoretical knowledge with practical industry demands. His teaching area’s encompasses foundational software development to advanced domains such as IoT, ML, and generative AI.

Shivakumar is a contributor to esteemed publications like IEEE, where he shares insights derived from his extensive industry involvement. and actively participates in co-editorial roles for Springer publications. Recently he co-authored workshop 303 at the SIGCSE 24 – Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) conference, highlighting innovative strategies for integrating hardware within software-focused curriculum. He is also mentoring few research programs in collaboration with Next Generation Internet Transatlantic Fellowship Program supported by European Commission.
